Awesome Sauce Creative partnered with DANBRO to design the packaging system for DANBRO Fresh, the brand’s frozen foods division catering specifically to the B2B HORECA segment (Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering).
Unlike retail packaging that often competes through emotional storytelling and shelf-pop, HORECA packaging demands a fundamentally different design approach, clarity, efficiency, scalability, and immediate product identification become the priority. The packaging needed to communicate professionalism and utility while still reflecting DANBRO’s premium quality standards. HORECA packaging often prioritizes fast recognition, legibility, and operational efficiency for kitchen/procurement environments, which informed the strategic design direction here.
Our objective was to create a packaging architecture that felt:
Clean and Minimal — stripping away unnecessary visual clutter to maintain a professional B2B appearance
Functional and To-the-Point — allowing chefs, procurement teams, and kitchen staff to identify products instantly
Systematically Scalable — enabling the packaging design language to extend seamlessly across multiple SKUs and frozen food categories
Brand Consistent Yet Distinctive — ensuring DANBRO Fresh built recognition within commercial kitchen environments
The final packaging system uses a structured and minimal visual hierarchy, balancing product information, branding, and variant differentiation with a highly utilitarian layout. Every design decision was made to optimize for the realities of B2B food service operations—where speed of identification, storage efficiency, and procurement clarity matter as much as visual aesthetics.
The result is a packaging system that feels modern, premium, and purpose-built for the HORECA ecosystem—positioning DANBRO Fresh as a serious, professional frozen foods supplier while enabling future portfolio expansion under a cohesive visual framework. The project is tagged/presented as HORECA/frozen food/frozen packaging work in the Behance project itself.
