Definition
What is individual PR?
Individual PR is the planned management of a person's public reputation: earning credible visibility through media, speaking and LinkedIn, and protecting how that person appears in search results and AI answers.
Corporate PR speaks for a company. Individual PR speaks for the person people actually want to hear from: the founder, the surgeon, the senior advocate, the architect, the professor. In India especially, people trust people first, and a respected name opens doors that a company brochure can't.
Done well, it isn't self-promotion. It's making real expertise visible, so that the people who should know your work, such as investors, patients, clients, journalists, event organisers and recruits, can find it and believe it.
Context
Your name is searched more than your company is. What does it say?
A visiting card and a few press clippings used to be a reputation. Now it's whatever three places say about you when someone looks.
Page one of Google
An investor, a hospital board or a new client will search your name before the meeting. If page one is an old profile, a namesake or nothing at all, you've lost ground before you've spoken.
LinkedIn is the new trade press
Decision-makers in India now read their industry on LinkedIn. A clear, consistent point of view there earns more invitations than most paid campaigns.
AI answers about people
People increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity who someone is. If credible sources say little about you, the answer is thin, outdated, or about someone else.

Different people, different rules
A founder, a surgeon and a senior advocate can't be marketed the same way. Each programme starts with who your audience is and what your profession allows.

Comparison
Individual PR vs personal branding vs social media management
The terms get used interchangeably. They do different jobs.
| Question | Individual PR | Personal branding | Social media management |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main goal | Credibility others vouch for | A clear, distinct identity | Regular presence and engagement |
| Who says it | Journalists, organisers, juries, peers | You | You, on your channels |
| Main outputs | Features, interviews, bylines, stages, awards | Positioning, story, visual identity, website | Posts, reels, community replies |
| Trust level | High, because it's third-party | Foundation for everything else | Depends on consistency |
| Effect on search and AI | Strong; credible sources are cited | Medium, through your own site | Low to medium |
| Best used | Once your positioning is clear | First | Alongside both |
Moments and reach
When people call us
Common starting points
- Before a funding round: investors will search the founder before they read the deck.
- After a promotion or new role: a CXO's public profile now speaks for the company.
- Building a practice: a doctor, lawyer or architect who wants referrals beyond their current circle.
- Launching a book, course or podcast: a body of work that deserves an audience.
- Moving cities or markets: taking a reputation earned in Lucknow to Delhi, Mumbai or Dubai.
- Something unfair is ranking: an old story, a namesake or a misleading result on page one.
Where we work
- Uttar Pradesh: Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Noida and Agra.
- National: Delhi NCR and Mumbai for national business, trade and broadcast media.
- International: UAE and Singapore, for people building reputations across India and abroad.
Many of the most capable people in Tier-2 India are the least visible online. That gap is where individual PR does its best work.
Measurement
How we measure individual PR
A short monthly report that shows what changed in how you're seen, not just how busy we were.
- Page-one ownership
- How many results on the first page of Google for your name are accurate, current and credible.
- AI-answer accuracy
- What ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity say about you, checked against a fixed set of questions.
- Earned coverage
- Features, interviews and quotes, by publication quality and audience fit.
- Invitations
- Speaking, panel, podcast and jury invitations received, and which ones you accepted.
- LinkedIn quality
- Who engages, not just how many: decision-makers, peers and journalists in your field.
- Inbound opportunities
- Partnership, client, patient or hiring enquiries that mention your visibility.
What we won't do
Buy followers, likes or reviews. Arrange pay-to-win awards or unlabelled paid features. Promise to delete legitimate journalism. Write opinions you don't hold.
Each of these works briefly and is easy to spot. A reputation built on them is a liability the day someone looks closely.
Why Awesome Sauce
Why people choose Awesome Sauce for individual PR
Personal brand and PR together
We build the positioning, photography, website and LinkedIn as well as the coverage, so everything someone finds about you tells the same story.
Your voice, not ours
Every piece starts with an interview with you. You'll recognise yourself in what we write, and you approve all of it.
Built for search and AI
We run SEO, GEO and AEO programmes, so your visibility is planned to show up where people actually look you up.
Discreet by default
Personal reputation work is sensitive. Your details, drafts and concerns stay within a small senior team.

FAQ
Individual PR: frequently asked questions
What is individual PR?
Individual PR, also called personal PR, is the planned management of a person's public reputation. It earns credible visibility for founders, professionals and public figures through media interviews, bylines, speaking, LinkedIn and awards, and protects that reputation in search results and AI answers.
What is the difference between personal PR and personal branding?
Personal branding defines who you are and how you present yourself: positioning, story, visual identity and your own channels. Personal PR earns third-party credibility for that brand through journalists, event organisers, award juries and industry platforms. The two work best together, which is why we offer both.
Who needs individual PR?
Founders and CEOs raising capital or hiring senior talent, doctors, lawyers, chartered accountants and architects building practices, academics and speakers, and anyone whose name is searched before a deal, appointment or partnership. It is also useful before a major move such as a funding round, book launch or election to an industry body.
Can a PR agency remove negative articles about me from Google?
Legitimate journalism cannot be deleted on request, and agencies that promise this should be avoided. What can be done is requesting corrections for factual errors, using proper legal and platform processes for defamatory or unlawfully published content, and publishing accurate, credible material so that the full picture appears in search and AI answers.
Can doctors and lawyers in India do PR?
Yes, within their professional rules. Medical and legal professionals in India face restrictions on advertising and soliciting clients, so their PR focuses on education and expertise: health or legal awareness articles, expert commentary, academic talks and accurate professional profiles, without promotional claims or solicitation.
How long does individual PR take to work?
LinkedIn and owned profiles can improve within weeks. Earned media features, speaking invitations and changes in what search results and AI engines say about a person usually build over three to six months of consistent activity.
How much does individual PR cost in India?
Most individual PR runs on a monthly retainer, scoped by the number of channels, languages, media targets and the amount of content written in your voice. A one-time reputation audit or media training session can also be booked separately. We quote after an initial audit.
Do you ghostwrite LinkedIn posts and articles?
Yes. Content is drafted from interviews with you, in your voice and on your views, and nothing is published without your approval. The aim is to save your time, not to invent opinions you do not hold.
Can you get me a Google Knowledge Panel or a Wikipedia page?
No one can guarantee either. Google decides when to show a Knowledge Panel and Wikipedia requires independent notability. What we can do is build consistent, credible information about you across reputable sources, which is what both systems, and AI answer engines, rely on.
Do you arrange paid awards or paid features?
We don't recommend pay-to-win awards or unlabelled paid features, because they are easy to spot and can damage credibility. Award entries focus on juried, reputable platforms, and any paid placement a client chooses is planned and labelled as sponsored.
Next step
Search your name. Then let's talk about what it should say.
Start with a personal reputation audit. We'll show you what Google, the media, LinkedIn and AI tools say about you today, and what a focused individual PR programme would change.
