OI Make - Branding & Identity Design Project
Project Type - Branding and Identity
Team - Awesome Sauce Creative
Project Overview
OIMake is a DIY STEM maker brand designed to transform the way children interact with technology and learning. Instead of positioning STEM as a rigid academic subject, the brand reframes it as an exciting, hands-on experience where curiosity leads to creation.
The objective of the project was to build a complete visual and strategic identity system that could communicate innovation, creativity, accessibility, and confidence — all while remaining approachable for both children and parents.
This was not designed as a toy brand.
It was designed as a learning ecosystem.
From logo architecture and typography to digital applications and brand behavior, every element was crafted to support one central idea:
Technology made buildable.
The Challenge
The STEM education category is heavily saturated with brands that either:
Feel overly academic and intimidating
Look excessively childish and toy-like
Depend on generic “robotics” visual clichés
Fail to create emotional connection with children and parents
OIMake needed to establish a distinct identity that could:
Feel educational without becoming institutional
Feel playful without losing credibility
Appeal to kids while reassuring parents
Create scalability for future kits, workshops, subscriptions, and digital experiences
Build long-term brand recall in an emerging Indian maker ecosystem
The challenge was to create a brand that could sit between education, creativity, and technology seamlessly.
OIMake was designed as more than a visual identity.
It was designed as a behavioral system — one that encourages children to explore, experiment, build, fail, improve, and create confidently.
A brand built for the next generation of makers.
